Welcome. I’m happy to see you here.

Pamela Askew, CSWA

Clinical Social Worker Associate

I am Pamela, a Clinical Social Worker Associate.

Hi, I’m Pam, and I’m glad you’re here. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and healing happens when you feel seen, safe, and supported. My role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, presence, and curiosity, as we work toward your goals, at your pace.

I bring a trauma-informed, grief-informed, and strengths-based approach, welcoming individuals navigating challenges like trauma, shame, anxiety, grief, depression, identity exploration, relational difficulties, and attachment concerns, and anyone simply seeking to connect more deeply with themselves, others, and the world around them.

Grounded in respect for your experience, I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, IFS, and mindfulness, and I’m currently completing EMDR training. I’m especially interested in how trauma and attachment affect both mind and body, offering tools that support both, through thought-based strategies and body-centered practices like grounding and breathwork.

Before becoming a therapist, I supported people in various roles. As a CASA for youth in foster care, in juvenile justice, with Alzheimer’s caregivers, and counseling teens in high school. I’m also an adoptive parent, which gives me personal insight into family systems, attachment, and identity. These experiences shape my commitment to inclusive, compassionate care.

I’m LGBTQIA+ aligned and practice with cultural humility, approaching every individual with openness and respect. I believe in lifelong learning, always evolving, curious, and growing personally and professionally.

Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in creating a space where your story is respected, your strengths celebrated, and your healing unfolds in a way that feels right for you.
