POLICIES & INSURANCE
Payment is due at the time of our session.
- Positive Inner Self accepts all major credit/debit cards.
Positive Inner Self does accept the following insurances: Aetna, Regence/Blue Cross Blue Shield, PacificSource, Providence, Optum, United Healthcare, Trillium, and CareOregon. If your insurance company is not listed, many insurance companies give out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. At this time insurance can only be billed for mental health therapy appointments.
- You having insurance does not guarantee they will pay. Some groups may not be considered in the network for us. Check with your insurance provider to understand what reimbursement options may be available for you. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to fulfill payment and the couples and family therapy sessions will be billed as ‘family psychotherapy with the patient present’ or ‘family psychotherapy without the patient present’.
What to Expect.
- In the first session, we engage in a biopsychosocial assessment. This means that we learn about how you came to be the person you are and what challenges and symptoms you have that you need help with. We explore your needs and wants when it comes to counseling, helping us to formulate what you want your goals to be. The first session will be approximately 60 minutes. Sessions will be approximately 50 minutes on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly, determined by what the need is.
24-hour notice is required for all appointment cancellations, except for emergencies.
- If you can’t make an appointment, please let us know within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. Clients who miss appointments or cancel late will be charged $80 for late cancellation/no-show with our cancelation policy signed at intake).
*PLEASE NOTE
We do not have continuous or on-call crisis management services. You may leave me a message at any time, and our goal is to return client calls within 1 business day, However, we are not available 24 hours a day.
